I realize I don't actually explain what poutine is in the comic so I'll explain here. Poutine is generally a Canadian food, it's a type of loaded french fries with cheese curds and gravy.
There's actually a food cart out in Portland that has poutine, called "Potato Champion" and they not only have poutine, but they have peanut sauce poutine and peanut sauce with raspberry sauce poutine! Here's some I got with my room mate, the top one is peanut sauce and the bottom is beef gravy.
It was really tasty and a big portion, worth the 9 dollars! The peanut sauce one was a tiny bit spicy which was nice, and the beef gravy on the other one was really meaty and delicious.
I first had poutine when I was visiting Toronto in Canada about 10 years ago, I liked what I tried but America didn't really have many places to get it, especially after I moved out of Oregon for a while, but it was great to eat it again after all this time!

When you're as old as Grandpa, it's best to not count how many connections you have. You'll never reach the end.

I am blessed to live next to a Chez Ashton to get poutine when I want!
However, as long as you have access to real cheese curds, the good kind that goes squick squick, you can have an homemade poutine!

My own poutine is curds, homemade fries and tomato soup.

Some poutine places offer "italian" poutines which simply switch gravy with spaghetti sauce.

As long as it has fries and curds with a sauce, you can add anything and it still counts. Kinda like pizza in a way.

I used to be near a store that sold cheese curds but alas the one near me now does not. The old store out in Illinois had like 3 whole cheese aisles... Probably one of the only things I miss about Illinois.

An… an incubus? Isn’t this comic child-friendly? ( if you’re under the age of 16 please don’t google incubus)
